The Enabler

Congratulations, Your primary story type is The Enabler. This is one of my most favourite storytypes as your automatic narrative with money is about giving to others. Other people’s needs.

Your brain believes that helping others is the biggest marker of being a good person.

In fact, your brain gives you so much evidence of this belief that it has concluded that people who want to spend money on themselves are frivolous, selfish or materialistic. This can therefore keep you stuck in patterns of self-sabotage and over-giving. People pleasing in order to feel valued and loved.

In your drive to leave a legacy of being a good person, you have rejected all behaviours which the brain believes will make you a bad person which makes you an excellent and diligent caretaker of others.

You’re an adept problem solver

You’re generous with both time and money.

You value investing money in ways that can support the environment, for example ethical strategies, and causes that align with your core values over maximising returns.
